In just a few weeks, America’s Got Talent returns for its 21st season. Following Jessica Sanchez‘s win in 2025, a new crop of singers, magicians, and more will be hitting the stage for the talent competition.

AGT is always keeping things fresh with new twists and facets of competition, and this year that will include the Judges Callback Round.

Scroll down to learn more about what this round entails and when it will take place.

What is the Judges Callback Round?

The Judges Callback Round is a new twist that will take place after the Auditions. At this point in the competition, the judges get together to deliberate and decide which contestants will move on to the Live Shows. However, this twist will allow the panel to bring back a select group of hopefuls who they want to see perform a second time before making their decision.

During the Auditions, 10 contestants will receive Golden Buzzers (an automatic ticket to the Live Shows), as each of the four judges, along with host Terry Crews, will have two to give out. Of the others who are voted through by the judges, only a certain number will actually make it to the Live Shows, and the Judges Callback will give some of them a last-chance opportunity to move forward with another performance for the panel.

Who are the AGT Season 21 judges?

The same judges from Season 20 are returning: Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Sofia Vergara.

What is the AGT 2026 schedule?

Starting with the June 2 premiere, AGT will air in a two-hour time slot on Tuesdays, beginning at 8/7c.

Once the Live Shows start on August 18, there will also be a one-hour Results Show added on Wednesday nights at 8/7c. This begins on August 19 and will continue for the remainder of the season.
