Live HealthSmart Alabama hosts a wellness clinic at Selma-Dallas County Public Library in the Vaughan Room on Broad Street in Selma from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

September 6

Book Reading & Meet and Greet for "Mama, Mama! Where’s Your Smile?" will be held at 10 a.m. with local author Gabrielle Deloach at Selma Dallas County Public Library.

Inaugural Pop-In (Community Open House) - Session 1: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM | Session 2: 5:15 PM – 7:15 PM at Foot Soldiers Park Auditorium on 1018 Water Avenue. What to expect:

St. Paul's Episcopal Church hosts its annual Lobsterfest with takeout available from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. and Dine-in seatings will be at 6 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50. To purchase, call the church office at 874-8421 on Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or ask a St. Paul's member for reservations. 
 
September 27

Blackbelt Benefit Group hosts Gear Up Community Bike Shop at Reflections Coffee Shoppe in Selma at 8:30 a.m. to learn more about fixing bicycles. It will take place every fourth Saturday.

October 4 

3rd Annual CANDY WALK — “Bridge the Blue Treat Trail” on Saturday, October 4, 2:00–5:00 PM at Foot Soldiers Park • 1705 Selma Ave, Selma. Wear blue. Stand against bullying. Celebrate community.

October 9

Sturdivant Hall in Selma hosts BBQ on the Green at 713 Marbry St. Cost is $30. Dinner is from 7-9 p.m. with art preview at 6 p.m. Takeout available from 5-6:30 p.m.

October 18

Pine Hill hosts Depot Day at the old train depot park. Call Robert Green to be a vender at 251-459-1133.

Selma Rising Mural Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Phoenix Park on Water Avenue. Groups will paint eight murals with guests artists one for each of Selma's wards. Includes free music, food, kids art, dance, poetry, and community art.

October 30-November 2

Photographic Nights of Selma returns for another year. It is a festival that highlights photography as an art form and joins people from across the globe to share time together in a place with a rich history. Exhibits show at Arts Revive on Church Street in Selma.

November 1

The Pecan Festival in Thomaston is scheduled for Nov. 1 and vendors are invited to apply by emailing thomastonhf@aol.com to request a form.
 
November 21-22 
 
The Southwest Alabama Gun and Knife Show will be held at the Thomasville Civic Center on 559 W Front Street. Vendor tables are $40 per table. Call 334-830-7363 to reserve a table.
