The Selma City School Board on Tuesday voted 3-1 for the newly built School of Discovery to serve fifth and sixth graders starting next fall. The decision to put fifth and sixth grades in the new school on Washington Street was recommended by Superintendent David Scott. Scott will hire a new principal for this intermediate school in January, the school district said in an announcement. Todd and Cindy talk about it in this segment of the Black Belt Newscast.
