A native of Selma and sailor with the U.S. Navy was presented the Junior Sailor of the Quarter Award during awards-at-quarters on Feb. 13.Â
Logistics Specialist (Submarine) 2nd Class Deundhray Steele was given the award by Capt. Will Wiley, commander, Submarine Squadron (CSS) 11.
"CSS-11, home to four Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarines, which are capable of supporting various missions, including: anti-submarine warfare; anti-ship warfare; strike warfare; and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance," said a press release from the Navy Office of Community Outreach.
