A military plane has flown in 39 tons of specialty baby formula as a result of President Joe Biden's "Operation Fly Formula" in a bid to address the nationwide shortage. 

According to a report from CBS, the 39 tons amounts to 78,000 pounds and was flown to Indianapolis from an airbase in Germany. 

The shipment carried Nestlé Health Science Alfamino Infant, Alfamino Junior, and Gerber Good Start Extensive HA formula formula. These are hypoallergenic formulas, which is especially in short supply. 

According to the report the shipment will supposedly fill half a million bottles.
