The 47th annual Kathryn Tucker Windham Tale Tellin' Festival is coming up on Sunday, Oct. 16.

"Since its founding by the late Kathryn Tucker Windham nearly five decades ago, the Tale Tellin’ Festival has become a cherished Selma tradition- a place where laughter, wisdom and wonder are shared through the timeless art of the spoken word," said a press release from organizers.

Adam Booth will be the headliner for this year's festival. He was the 2022 West Virginia Governor’s Arts Awards Folk Artist of the Year and the keynote presenter at the Sydney Australia International Storytelling Conference.

There will be music Bailey Hill and Wink Crittendnen, catering by Bertolone’s Italian Restaurant and the emcee will be Charlie Lucas, a friend of Tucker's.

Tickets are $28. More information can be found at www.artsrevive.com.

The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. at ArtsRevive on 3 Church Street in Selma.
