The Old Cahawba artesian wells were among those spotlighted by the Alabama Historical Commission (AHC) as part of Preservation Month.Â
Fort Morgan, Fendall Hall, Fort Toulouse, Belle Mont Celtic Fest and Shoal Creek were some of the places highlighted during the month.Â
The Perine Well was noted among the other artesian wells at Old Cahawba. This was a water sources for a mansion that had once been located there.Â
