The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and the State Bureau of Investigation have expanded the search for a suspect in the murder of a senior from Marion.
ALEA now says the search is nationwide for Anastassja “Anya” Cooper, 32, a person of interest in the case of Jeffery Holifield, 68, who was found dead in the 2000 Block of Onrow Tubbs Road. The search started in November.
SBI is asking the public’s assistance in locating Cooper for questioning and is expanding their search nationwide after Cooper was recently seen in San Mateo, California. She also has family connections in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Oregon.
Cooper is described as a white female with brown hair, brown eyes, standing at 5’9” and weighing 216 pounds. She may also own or is traveling with a mixed breed dog named “Banana.”
