Troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) are investigating a traffic fatality that took place on Thursday morning.Â
According to ALEA at around 2:30 a.m. a 2004 Honda Accord left the roadway on Dallas County 540 and struck a tree before catching fire. The crash site was approximately eight miles east of Selma.Â
The driver has not been identified pending confirmation from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
