Wilcox, Perry, Barbour, Greene and Macon counties were noted as being affordable for anybody looking to purchase property. They were pointed out for their rural and historic values. 

They were also noted for their recreational values, especially for those interested in hunting and fishing. 

The article advises people looking to buy land in these counties to check with local zoning and financing policies before making a decision.
