The State Lands Division of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is set to conduct a public auction for leases of state-owned land for hunting.

140 leasing tracts across 32 counties will be part of the auction. Counties in the Black Belt include Clarke, Choctaw, Greene, Lowndes, and Perry.

The auction will take place on May 31 Grande Hall at Old Mill Square, 105 West College Street in Columbiana at 10 a.m. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m.
