Broad Street is now lined with 39 Christmas trees in the downtown district and will be officially lit up for the holidays this weekend.
The Dallas County Family Resource Center delivered the trees to various spots on both sides of Broad Street on Monday and the organizations and businesses that bought the trees got started decorating this week.
They will be ready for viewing at the Light Up Selma ceremony at 5 p.m. Friday and the Christmas Tree Winter Walk at 11 a.m. Saturday.
