East fishing pond

The City of Selma recently opened its east fishing pond to the public for the weekend and will open it again this Wednesday.

On Saturday the city's Parks and Recreation Department made the pond available and the city reported on their Facebook page that many citizens turned out to fish.

The city will reopen the pond again on Wednesday in the afternoon but did not specify an exact time.

Several rules must be observed when visiting:

1. Anyone who enters to fish does so at their own risk.

2. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

3. No swimming is allowed.

See the city's Facebook page for updates.
