Dallas County's water system has been awarded $2,588,600 in grant funds from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).

A spokesperson for the Dallas County Water & Sewer Authority said that they expect to get the grant from the next round of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funds in the fall.

The water authority credited Sen. Robert Stewart with advocating to get the funding from ADEM.
