The Ellwood Christian Academy Eagles soared to their first win of the 2025 football season on Friday night, edging out the Central Hayneville Lions in a nail-biting 20-18 victory on their home field.
It was a hard-fought battle from start to finish, with both teams exchanging big plays and momentum swings. The Eagles, fueled by a determined home crowd and a relentless defense, managed to hold off a late surge from the Lions to clinch the win. Friday night’s victory marked not just a win in the standings, but a significant boost in morale for a team that has shown grit and determination through a challenging start to the season.
Michael McCants Jr. led the Eagles offense, by scoring two touchdowns to help secure the victory.
