Town Lake drainage

An update from Montgomery Public Works said that crews are "making progress" in repairing a deteriorating retaining wall and damaged drainage pipes in the Town Lake neighborhood in Montgomery.

"Over the past several weeks, crews have used water pumps to temporarily lower lake levels and dry out the areas on both sides of the roadway," said the update. "They have also cleared accumulated dirt and debris from the damaged drainage pipes."

The next step is that crews will construct new concrete headwalls on both sides of the drainage pipes and then allow lake water to flow through the system again.

"These repairs are part of the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain critical infrastructure, improve drainage and protect neighborhood roadways," the update stated.
