Demopolis Police investigators have new information about a 2017 murder that was a cold case.
The department reported on Wednesday that there is new information about the murder of Shannon Steele, whose body was discovered in her apartment at Queensbury Lane in Edgemont Village in Demopolis on Dec. 28, 2017 by a Demopolis Police Officer. The new information was not revealed in the social media report.
Steele's body was found with her two youngest children.
In 2020, the Demopolis Police Department and the District Attorney’s office increased the reward to $20,000. The department is still asking for people with information to come forward to help get closure for her family.
