The Environmental Services Department is conducting a Special Clean-Up for District 5 in Troy for the month of May.

Represented by Wanda Moultry, residents of District 5 single-family households will be able to dispose of furniture, appliances, junk and others without the standard Special Pick-Up fees for oversized loads.

These items can be left on curbsides on regular garbage pick-up days or by contacting 311 at 566-0177.

Residents, churches and civic groups are encouraged to schedule neighborhood clean-up events during May in order to "effectively" schedule personnel and equipment.

A Special Clean-Up Month is also designated for October in the district.
