Grace Episcopal Church & Gardens in Montgomery will host its "Music in the Gardens" live music and arts event on Oct. 5.

"The afternoon will feature live music from Sami Lavette, whose soulful sound promises to set the perfect tone for a fall gathering in the gardens," said a press release from the church.

"Guests can also browse and shop from Local and Bloom’s pop-up boutique, explore creative fabric crafts, and connect with organizations that support both our environment and our community, including the Friends of the Alabama River and Big Dog Ranch Rescue."

Attendees are encouraged to bring old towels, blankets, and sheets to donate to Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Burgers and hot dogs will be available from Boy Scout Troop 8.

The event is free and will be held at 4 p.m. at the church's location on 906 Pike Road. For more information contact Grace Episcopal Church at rector@graceepiscopalpikeroad.org.
