Best Buy Teen Tech Center is set to open at Wallace Community College in Selma to help educate teens on developing skills in technology. The center was made possible from a partnership of the college with Best Buy and NFL veteran Michael Johnson’s MJ 93-90 Foundation. A grand opening is set to celebrate at the campus. “Best Buy Teen Tech Centers address the nation’s opportunity gap by offering teens free, year-round, technology access and education in an after-school setting,” stated a press release from the partners. “Students rely on the centers to learn hands-on tech and workforce readiness skills, like music and video production, coding and resume building.” The press release said that close to 80 percent of jobs by 2020 will require technology skills. The center is aimed at teenagers with the goal of making them proficient in such jobs. Speakers at the grand opening will be: Dr. James M.
