High temperatures continue to bake Alabama throughout this week, with more storms possible on Thursday.

Weather experts are stressing to the public to take precautions during this time and to know when heat exhaustion and heat strokes are happening.

See this National Weather Service (NWS) Birmingham graphic for information on what to do about these conditions.

Residents are still advised to stay hydrated, limit times outdoors and have access to air conditioning.

According to NWS storms are possible on afternoon through the early evening hours, though most of the Black Belt is not under any threats. However, portions of Sumter, Greene, Hale and Perry counties are under a slight risk for 60 mph winds and quarter-sized hail.

If storms develop the public is advised to stay up to date with weather reports and take precautions as needed, such as access to steady shelter and have ways to receive alerts.
