A 22-year-old man from Hope Hull has been sentenced for playing a role in the burglary of a gun store in Montgomery.

According to a statement from U.S. Attorney Kevin Davidson Ethan Daniel Turner was convicted for possession of a stolen firearm and theft of a firearm from a federal firearms licensee.

The conviction stems from an incident on June 29, 2025 in Montgomery when officers responded to a burglary at a sporting goods store on North Eastern Boulevard.

When they arrived officers found that the front entrance had been rammed open by a vehicle. Two suspects were seen fleeing the scene and entering a second vehicle, sparking a pursuit.

Eventually the chase ended when the vehicle stopped and the suspect left it to flee on foot. They were both apprehended and Turner was identified as one of the suspects.

During the trial Turner reportedly admitted to stealing two rifles and a shotgun from the store.

Turner was sentenced to five years and will serve three years of supervised release.
