Gov. Kay Ivey has signed a proclamation offering a $5,000 reward for information on a shooting death that occurred in 2021.

According to the proclamation the victim, identified as Estella Griffin Smith, was discovered inside of a residence on Montague Street in Selma on June 13, 2021.

No suspects have been identified since the discovery. Ivey's proclamation states that any information leading to the arrest and conviction to the perpetrator will lead to the reward.

Those who submit information must be private citizens to be entitled the reward, however. The money will not be given to anyone who is a government law enforcement employee or their families.
