Meadowview fell to Southern Academy 51-0.

The AISA 8-man football Meadowview Christian Trojans fell to AISA Class A Southern Academy in an 11-man football game 51-0 on the road on Friday, Aug. 25.

The Trojans are 0-2 against non-regional opponents. Meadowview Christian Head Football Coach John Treherne said, “Our guys did everything except quit. Every single player did exactly what they were taught to do.”

Treherne noted the opponent was an 11-man football team, “and we only had a short time to prepare.” He said his team had to play one 11-man team for the AISA this season. All other opponents are 8-man teams.

Treherne said the Trojans had 23 players dressed while Southern Academy had more than 50 players. “We did the best we could against a giant,” he said.

The Trojans will next face non-regional opponent Trinity Christian on the road on Thursday, Aug. 31.
