Building in Montgomery lit purple

Tomorrow several buildings in Montgomery will be lit with purple lights in honor of April being the Month of the Military Child.

The month recognizes the children of military service members and some of the challenges they face, such as moving frequently from region to region.

The initiative is also called "Purple Up Day".

"As a city with deep military roots, we understand that behind every service member is a family that serves too—especially the children who embody courage, flexibility, and grace," said a post by the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce on social media.
