District 3 Montgomery County Commissioner Ronda Walker will retire after the next meeting of the commission on Monday, Nov. 4. 

According to her online bio, Walker grew up in Montgomery. She attended Troy University and the University of Hawai’i before working in Washington, D.C. on the legislative staff of U.S. Senator Richard Shelby and then for Alabama Congressman Martha Roby.

She joined the commission in 2014 and was reelected for a third term in 2020. She owns Pate Landscaping Company with her husband, Jason Walker. 

The next meeting of the Montgomery County Commission will begin with an information session at 9 a.m. The formal session takes place at 10 a.m. 

The Montgomery County Courthouse Annex III is located 101 S. Lawrence Street.
