Montgomery AEDs

First responders from Montgomery Fire/Rescue (MFR) are installing 300 Automated External Defibrillators or AED in buildings owned by the City of Montgomery.

City buildings range from community centers and libraries to sports facilities and offices.

"This citywide initiative is a major step toward protecting our employees, visitors and families who use these facilities every day," said a post on the City of Montgomery Facebook page.

Additionally, AEDs are reportedly compatible with MFR’s advanced cardiac monitors, which allows firefighters to administer care as soon as they arrive at the scene.
