Montgomery police have opened an investigation after a woman's body was found in a pond on Thursday night. 

According to WAKA, a call was made to police at around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday night in reference to a body found at the 8800 block of Alderwood Way. The pond is located behind part of a subdivision there. 

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not yet released her name.
