A sprawling country estate which comes with its own castle treehouse is on the market for £4.95 million (more than $6 million).

Springfield House, located in Northumberland, boasts stunning gardens, a private tennis court and a turreted treehouse.

The estate comprises of an impressive six-bedroom detached home nestled within 2.8 acres near the sought-after village of Corbridge.

Originally built in 1874, the property now includes a built-in library with integrated shelves and a bespoke temperature-controlled wine cellar with space for up to 2,000 bottles.

But hidden away in the garden is a 'magical' one of a kind twin turret treehouse, commissioned by the same company responsible for the iconic treehouse at The Alnwick Garden.

The castle-like build is over two floors and features a connecting bridge and ladder access so kids can enjoy their own secluded paradise.

Children can also enjoy the built-in slide and fireman's pole which lead down to the lawn.

In its listing, estate agents Sanderson Young said: "Springfield House has been beautifully refurbished throughout, in collaboration with acclaimed British designer Fiona Barratt-Campbell.

"Every aspect has been carefully considered, with contemporary interiors complementing the home’s original period features."

It added: "Externally, Springfield House is surrounded by stunning gardens and grounds with manicured lawns, mature trees and shrubs offering great privacy, as well as its all-weather tennis court.

"The twin turret treehouse, a truly special addition to the property, offers two floors with ladder access inside and bridge adjoining them on the high level.

"A spiral slide and fireman’s pole descend from the structure to the main lawn below, creating a magical castle-like retreat for children."

The treehouse was built by the property's previous owners but is estimated to have cost more than £10,000.

Branch manager Ashleigh Sundin said: "This is a property that offers not only beautifully designed interiors and wonderful private gardens, but also truly special features such as the enchanting tree house and impressive wine cellar, giving it a rich character and lifestyle appeal all of its own.

"A viewing is essential to fully appreciate the opportunity on offer, and it would be my privilege to personally show prospective buyers around this exceptional home, allowing them to experience everything that makes it so special before this rare opportunity is gone."
