Dozens of inflatable scary monsters have been spotted around a UK city ahead of Halloween.

The spooky beasts have been placed across many iconic Manchester City Centre locations ahead of its Halloween in the City event.

There are 16 looming faces in total, which were created by artists Filthy Luker and Pedro Estrellas.

Some monsters have been named after celebrities, including Rocky Boo-Boa (Rocky Rocky Balboa), Spooky Spice (Sporty Spice, Spice Girls), Bruce Springscream (Bruce Springsteen), The Ghoullaghers (Liam and Noel Gallagher, Oasis).

The MCR Monster Trail will feature 13 monster locations to find across the week, and four more to be found exclusively at the Halloween in the City weekender.

The event will take place from Saturday, October 25, to Friday, October 31.
