Library opens to house all 3,500,000 pages of the Epstein Files

A library is showcasing all three and a half million pages of the Epstein Files.

The Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Reading Room opened in Manhattan, New York on May 8, 2026.

This first-of-its-kind physical library contains all of the unsealed Epstein files, bound into 3,437 volumes.

The installation is built around a tribute to the survivors and victims of Epstein's crimes, and features a timeline that documents the crimes, accusations, legal proceedings, and intersections between the lives of Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein over decades.

In the middle of the installation are 1,400 artificial candles — each representing one of the victims.

Each of the 3,437 volumes weighs around 5 lbs., giving a combined total of 17,000 lbs. of documents.

It would take over a year to read all the files at a rate of two pages a minute.

In just 24 hours, a reader would only be able to get through three of the 3,437 volumes.

David Garrett, one of the organizers of The Reading Room, said: "The truth is hard to deny when it's printed and bound for you to see.

"We are opening the Reading Room to keep public attention fixed on the crimes of Epstein and the Epstein class, and on Trump's desperate attempts to bury them."

The Reading Room spans two floors of a 5,000-square-foot gallery space.

Organizers have confirmed that while visitors are encouraged to explore the space, they are unable to read any of the shelved volumes which are kept behind velvet ropes.

They say this is "because the Trump Department of Justice has failed to redact identifying information about the victims and survivors."

Members of Congress, law enforcement, and credentialed journalists, as well as survivors, victims, and their advocates may make private appointments to access the printed files in the Reading Room.
