By Dean Murray

The full horrifying footage of the tragic UPS airplane crash was released on Tuesday, May 19.

CCTV surveillance footage presented by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) shows the moment UPS Flight 2976 suffered a catastrophic failure during takeoff from Louisville on Nov. 4, 2025.

The video captures the left engine and its pylon separating from the wing seconds after the aircraft began its departure roll, sending debris across the runway and leaving the aircraft critically compromised.

The 3 crewmembers aboard the airplane and 11 people on the ground were fatally injured. There were 23 others on the ground who were injured.

The NTSB video also features animated illustrations of the failure of the structure of the MD-11F aircraft engine-to-wing attachment and presents investigative findings related to the separation of the left engine.

It has been released as part of a two-day investigative hearing at the NTSB boardroom in Washington on May 19–20 into last year’s deadly crash.
