Old Cahawba Walking Tour explores Civil War prison in April

In the nearby town of Orrville, the Alabama Civil War Heritage Trails will present a tour of Castle Morgan in April.

Castle Morgan – otherwise known as Cahaba Prison – was a POW camp that held Union soldiers during the American Civil War. The tour will explore the conditions of the prison camp as well as residents who lived nearby.

Admission is $8 and will be held on April 6 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, visit the event page on Facebook.
