The suspect of a Phenix City robbery on Dec. 27 was captured shortly afterwards in Columbus, GA, said a recent announcement from the Phenix City Police Department.

On that day a white male reportedly entered the Phenix Girard Bank on 3650 South Railroad Street and demanded money at gunpoint. No injuries were reported during the robbery.

Police later identified the suspect as Kevin Robert McDonald. A collaboration of the Phenix City Department with the Columbus Police Department led to his arrest without incident.

McDonald has been charged with first degree robbery.
