The Jackson House, a Selma home that had served as a meeting place for leaders of the Civil Rights Movement and was relocated to Michigan, will be opened by The Henry Ford in Dearborn during a celebration of the 250th birthday of the U.S. in 2026.

According to dbusiness.com, the Jackson Home will publicly open in Greenfield Village in Dearborn during the week of June 9, 2026.

In the Civil Rights movement it was home to Dr. Sullivan and Richie Jean Sherrod Jackson, who allowed Martin Luther King Jr. and other leaders as they planned the Selma to Montgomery marches.

It was relocated from Selma to Dearborn in 2023.
