Ribbon cutting held for new food pantry in Selma

A ribbon cutting and grand opening was held on Wednesday for a new food pantry owned in Selma by Faith Church. 

The church was joined by Faith Community Outreach, city and county officials, Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Information, City of Selma, Alabama Government and community partners.

"This initiative will help alleviate hunger and food insecurity in the Dallas County and Selma Community," said a post on social media by Faith Church. 

The pantry will operate twice a month on an appointment-based system.
