A ribbon cutting will be held for the new Fitness Court located by the Thomasville Children's Splash Pad and Playground on July 16 at 10 a.m.Â
"This Fitness Court has been a great addition for the Thomasville Area," said a post on social media by the Thomasville Alabama Chamber of Commerce. "The City of Thomasville partnered with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and the National Fitness Campaign to bring this resource to our community."
A flyer for the event stated that the partnership will fight diseases that are preventable due to sedentary lifestyles.Â
There will be a food truck from Big Steppers BBQ and More and a snow cone truck from Rod's Snow.Â
The Thomasville Children's Splash Pad and Playground is located at 610 Mosley Avenue.Â
