According to an announcement from U.S. Attorney Kevin Davidson,

The first, Zedekiah Sykes, 58, of Montgomery, pleaded guilty to the same count in July.

A sentence hearing will be held at a date to be determined in the coming months.

Now Spirit Hooks, 51, and Clinton Thompson, 55, both of Birmingham have been charged for their alleged roles in the robbery that took place on March 10.

They are accused of forcing their way inside and demanding money from the safe. One reportedly carried an object that appeared to be a firearm but was later found to be a BB gun.

The owner, Jim Massey, was said to be assaulted during the robbery where $8,000 in cash was taken. He was tied and had his phone and car stolen. The car was used to drive away from the scene.
