This Thursday the annual Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee will take place featuring a number of events to commemorate the Civil Rights Movement. Among the events will be Miss Jubilee, a beauty pageant that will be held at the beginning of the Jubilee on Feb. 27.
The competition will have winners for first, second and third places, as well as a talent show winner. Participants will be judged for opening scene, communication skills, talent, and stage presence.
The winners will be invited to the Children Sojourn and Jubilee Step Show on the following day, as well as the Parade and Freedom Flame Banquet on Saturday and the Breakfast and March on Sunday.

The pageant will take place at George C. Wallace College at 7 p.m. George C. Wallace College is located at 3000 Earl Goodwin Parkway.
