The Selma Redevelopment Authority recognized winners of the Storefront Showdown competition for best holiday displays in downtown Selma.
First place went to Gray’s Furniture Company, second place to Lena’s Floral and third place winner is Queen City Market.
Honorable mention went to Southall’s African American museum and gallery, Queen City Women’s Health and Branden’s Hair Studio.
Executive Director Sarah Aghedo said it was wonderful to have 14 businesses participate in the Showdown.
The prizes for the winners are reimbursable funds to improve the facades of their businesses of $1,500 for first, $300 for second and $200 for third.Â
Other participants were Carter Drug, 5&Dime, Naturally Gifted, Selma Social, Better Affordable Real Estate, Gallery 905, Reflections Coffee Shoppe and Spiller Furniture.
