Selma Police are investigating a shooting that injured four people at a night club on Sept. 14 on North Race Street.
Police are looking through security camera footage and surveillance videos from area businesses to find a suspect in the shooting at Ultra Grande Lounge that caused non-life threatening injuries to four people.
Chief Kenta Fulford said there is no motive yet in the shooting but said they have spoken to the victims.
“Some said they were just sitting in their vehicles, others said they were walking into the club,” he said. “But like I said, no known motive and no suspect yet.”
Fulford said the owner of the Ultra Grand Lounge, Mary Scott, is cooperating with police and provided video from security cameras. He added when there is a situation with no suspect, the video is invaluable. “A lot of businesses now have (security) cameras. We rely on video from those businesses, homes, things like that. Hopefully we can catch maybe somebody driving by or somebody walking by with a gun pointing it that way.”
Currently there is also no description of any vehicles involved. If anyone has any information about the shooting, they are asked to call Selma Police at 334-876-1260 or the 24-hour line for reporting incidents at 334-876-1220.
