A Payne Elementary School teacher is among 16 students to be featured on the 2020-2021 "Alexander Shunnarah Teacher of the Month" series of billboards.Â
Previously Shunnarah's firm had taken nominations from the Birmingham-Metro area. A page for the initiative can be seen here.Â
Teacher of the Month nominates and showcases K-12 teachers based on the impact they make on their students, said a report by Patch.com. More than 1,200 teachers were nominated.
In addition to having their pictures featured on billboards, each recipient received a $250 VISA gift card.Â
