Selma University (SU) begins its 2025-2026 academic year with expansions and renovations made possible from a $250,000 grant.

The university is now offering a new Master of Business Administration (MBA) program and has expanded its undergraduate business concentrations. It continues to offer "One Free Course" where new students can take one class for free.

The Bulldogs men's basketball team returns this year under Head Coach Jeremiah Whitt, said a press release from SU.

The grant comes from the Home Depot Retool Your School Grant and will be used to renovate the cafeteria.

“Selma University is moving forward with purpose, innovation, and determination to make Selma University a premiere institution of higher education in Alabama for preparing men and women to be servant leaders in their communities,” said President Dr. Stanford Angion.
