Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) has announced that submissions for the 2023 Congressional Art Competition is now being accepted.

Students of public and private schools, as well as homeschooled students, from the seventh district are invited to submit their works.

"This year’s theme, “Reimagine Alabama,” provides students an opportunity to capture their hopes and dreams for the state they call home," said an announcement from Sewell's website.

The winner will receive a free round-trip airfare for two to Washington D.C. where a reception will be held for the winners from other congressional districts.

Submitted works may be up to 26” high X 26” wide and X 4” deep and may be submitted to their local school superintendent’s office or call 334-262-1919 for pick up.

A Student Information and Release Form must be filled out to enter.

The deadline to submit artwork is April 28.
