Simonds International Burton Mill Solutions, which has a branch in Camden, is closing its location in Big Rapids, Michigan.Â
According to the Huron Daily Tribune, the company is headquartered in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and has locations in Portland, OR and Quebec, Canada in addition to Camden. About 250 people are employed in all the locations.Â
The company produces tool steel knives and saw blades; and customers include original equipment manufacturers, equipment dealers, distributors, lumber mills and paper mills.
