Thomasville Chamber of Commerce taking nominations for Citizen of the Year

The Thomasville Alabama Chamber of Commerce (TACC) is taking nominations for its 2027 Citizen of the Year. 

An announcement from TACC outlined the following guidelines: 

• Nominations should be in the form of letters explaining why the selected person should win and how they fall into a criteria. 
• The letter must be between 250-500 words. 
• They must include the name of the letter's writer and their contact information. 
• The letter must be submitted by Nov. 9. 

The criteria is as follows: 

• Significant community contributions 
• Past and present community activities 
• Charity and philanthropic efforts 
• Has improved the quality of life in Thomasville 
• Character and citizenship 
• Civic leadership 
• Has not received Citizen of the Year in the past 10 years
