Thomasville City Schools is in mourning after a recent announcement reported that one of its students has passed away. 

In an extension of condolences to the family of the student the announcement said that no specific details will be provided out of respect for their privacy. 

"Our focus is on supporting our students, staff, and families as we grieve together," said the message. "Counselors and support staff are available at Thomasville High School and across the district for any student or employee who may need assistance. We encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out to a trusted adult or to school support personnel."
