The City of Troy's Environmental Services Department will adjust garbage and recycling collection in anticipation of the summer heat. 

The new schedule will be from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

"Residents should have their garbage and recycle carts out the night before their scheduled collection day or no later than 5:30 a.m. the morning of their scheduled collection day," said an announcement on social media. 

The summer hours will be effective until Aug. 12.
