Two schools in the Black Belt will be honored at an awards ceremony by the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools or CLAS. 

Hale County Middle School from State School Board District 4 and Demopolis High School will be among 32 schools to be recognized as Schools of Distinction. 

The ceremony will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. at Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel & Conference Center at Capitol Hill on 2500 Legends Circle in Prattville.
