Samuel McClinton Burge, Sr. passed away May 11, 2024 at the age of 76. He was born August 15, 1947 to the late Arthur and Mattie Lee Burge. Â
He was preceded in death by his sons, James Burge and Chris Burge and brother, Ricky Burge.

He is survived by his children, Sam (Kristine) Burge, Jr., Mechell (Charles) Elam; Paul Lee Burge (Kris) and Shawn Burge; daughters-in-law, Earline Burge and Christy Burge; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and sister, Janie (Jackie) Hawk.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Octagon Cemetery in Linden. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Justin Latham, Corey Burge, Charles Elam, Brandon Wright, Bart Fulgham and Rusty Fulgham.
